On returning to the UK, Laura began learning more about jazz in front of the most demanding audience known to humankind - the working men’s clubs of South Wales. After honing her craft effectively and gaining the unofficial support of the Valleys, Laura moved to London to study jazz performance at the Guildhall School of Music. Whilst a student there, she was awarded scholarships from the Ryan Davies Memorial Fund and the Atlantic Foundation. This enabled Laura to study with acclaimed singers such as Lee Gibson, Norma Winstone and Anita Wardell.

Since graduation, Laura has performed around Britain with her own band and also as a solo singer-pianist. She has appeared at the National Theatre, the Bull’s Head, the Bedford in Balham, the Spice of Life, Quaglino’s, Smollensky’s and the Wales Millennium Centre. After building a healthy following on the UK jazz scene, Laura was invited to perform at the world-famous arts festivals in Edinburgh, Cheltenham and Brecon.

Following a productive stint in the studio, Laura’s latest interpretations of jazz classics have already won the support of radio, having been recently broadcast on BBC radio's flagship show ‘Jazz Connection’. Laura’s original and unique work continues to impress in the jazz scene and beyond - all those happy punters in Rome, London and Ystrad Mynach can’t be wrong…
