A somewhat rebellious member of the college choir at Cambridge University, Laura enjoyed embellishing austere Gregorian chant with gospel melodies, much to the chagrin of her more conservative fellow choristers. Laura’s individual musical style was then cemented during a hair-raising year-long adventure in Rome, where she unlocked her passion for jazz on the stages of various backstreet Roman music clubs.
